Why we love Catering in Wales

A Quirky Chapel Wedding in Anglesey: Catering with Character If there’s one thing I’ve learned from catering in Wales, it’s to expect the unexpected—and this wedding was no exception. Picture this: a beautifully quirky chapel tucked away in the breathtaking landscapes of Anglesey, just a short walk from the beach. It was like something out of a fairytale, with the kind of charm that only comes from being in the middle of nowhere. Rustic meets refined, with a hint of madness—just the way I like it. A Windy Welcome and Flying Pastries We kicked things off with a canapé reception on the lawn, where the view stretched out to rolling hills and the sea beyond. We set up comfy outdoor cushions, creating a relaxed, bohemian vibe that was just perfect for the couple’s laid-back spirit. The only problem? The wind had other ideas. A few unsuspecting pastries decided to take flight, and let’s just say one or two guests might have caught canape mid-air like they were in a rugby match. Despite the breeze’s best efforts, guests couldn’t get enough of the bite-sized treats, and the laughter only added to the joyful chaos. Quirky Chapel Dining: Where the Altar Becomes a Banquet Inside, the chapel’s quirky character truly shone through. Church benches served as dining seats, and guests found themselves eating by the altar—a setup so wonderfully unconventional it felt almost rebellious. The space was undeniably beautiful, but maneuvering platters between those narrow, creaky benches? A bit like playing Tetris with dinner plates. Still, our team moved like pros, slipping through tight spaces with the grace of professional dancers (or at least giving it a good go!). A Three-Course Triumph (in a Tiny Kitchen) The kitchen? Let’s just say it was more of a kitchen nook—cosy and quaint but not exactly built for a full-scale banquet. But we made it work, rolling out a stunning three-course meal that left guests raving. Dessert stole the show with a decadent dark chocolate mousse topped with homemade raspberry compote. Despite the space challenge, everything came out hot, fresh, and perfectly timed. The narrow seating turned out to be a blessing in disguise—guests chatted, leaned close, and shared laughs, making it feel wonderfully intimate and connected. Serving up Love and Laughter As the evening went on, fairy lights twinkled through chapel windows, and the sounds of cheerful conversation and clinking glasses filled the space. It was the kind of wedding that reminds you why catering is so rewarding—yes, even when you’re dodging airborne pastries or trying to squeeze through tight spots without dropping dessert. This quirky chapel wedding wasn’t just an event—it was an adventure. One that proved that with the right attitude (and a good sense of humour), even the trickiest setups can lead to unforgettable memories. If you’re dreaming of a wedding with personality, heart, and a few delightful challenges, you know who to call!
