Plush Tents, Chichester- West Sussex
What a venue for George and Jack’s three-day music festival theme wedding! Nestled in the mini woodland, surrounded by serene fields, this venue is perfect for a community feel, sharing, and celebratory vibe. That is precisely what my food is about. Tables were laid out between the trees, and it almost felt like a lunch under the Tuscany sun, with no unnecessary formality, only love, sharing, and laughter. It was almost like having a huge garden party; people passed the platters, and I floated, chatting and topped up the food.
George and Jack wanted to celebrate their day in the spirit of abundance, joy and lushness, and my menu expressed this so well. I served sourdough with four different dips, roasted carrots and sesame, fava beans hummus, parsley pesto and herby oil. We had roasted whole cauliflowers with Mayan hummus, roasted squashes with spicy chilli salsa, creamy potato salad with artichokes, zesty slaw, and Jack’s favourite- no-meat board. Katsu chicken, spicy steak, salami, pastrami, and much more…
Family-style sharing platters are great as they allow you to come back for more whenever you feel like that, without worrying that you may be hungry soon and the food will be cleared away.
